Travelling as a young couple from Sydney our stay at Residenza dei Pucci made our visit to Florence all the more enchanting. Our hostess Rossella and her co-worker were very friendly and helpful. On both nights we stayed in the city, Rossella made bookings for us at nearby restaurants as the city was in peak tourist season (mid july) and most restaurants were full. The room we stayed in was neat, tidy and very stylish with beautiful furnishings, high ceilings and thick walls The bathroom was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. The location of the hotel is everything you would ask for, not noisy at all yet still in the heart of Florence, a 2 minute walk away from the Duomo and 5 minutes from the Ponte Vecchio. The Italian (sweet) style breakfast in the morning was excellent - lots of little cakes, strudels, croissants, toast, jams, yoghurt and good coffee. We had hired a car from Rome and were able to drive into the city to have the car parked at a nearby garage for 22 Euro a day, quite convenient and cost effective considering the city blocks of traffic at certain times of the day. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel if you're travelling through Florence.
We stayed at hotel 3 nights . It was our family trip to florence.Rooms were amazing nice clean and we felt were relaxing in them after whole day walking. Food was ok even we are not fond of sweet breakfast cakes were so tastful.Mrs. Marina the lady who works at reception was very helpful nice and friendly.
The hotel is nice and a great location, the breakfast was also good
The hotel staff was very nice and gave us good tips on Firenze (great ice-cream place !) and the location is perfect, almost at the foot of the Dome.
It is quite complicated to reach it by car (even with the help of a gps) and very difficult to get a temporary parking spot to drop the luggages. But someone comes when you check in and takes the car to a garage (paid) so you don't have to worry for it for the duration of your stay.
The stay was great, the staff was wonderful and very helpful! Also the location is perfect, in the heart of florence and close to main things to do. Would definitely recommend this B&B to everyone.
One minus was the breakfast - very Italian, only cake and some cereals. The room where the breakfast was served was too small.
It was a true pleasure to stay at Residenza dei Pucci. Great atmosphere, very nice large rooms, and just few steps away from the main Florence attractions. We really enjoyed talking to the owner, who is true friend of tourists.
Great location behind the Duomo to explore Firenze. On arrival, Marina was great. She upgraded us and also spent a good 10 minutes showing us the places to visit on a map and recommend the best restaurants, gelatarias and apperetif lounges. We had a large, comfortable, clean and quiet room for our 3 nights stay - would highly recommend it.
The breakfast area is rather cramped and only has 6 seats, so if it is full, you have to wait or take a tray back to your room. the breakfast was also quite limited, even by Italian standards - no slices cheese or ham to go with your toast.
B&B Residenza dei Pucci is an excellent place to stay in Florence. My wife and I spent 4 nights there on our recent trip. The location is unbeatable, and the concierges, Mariana and Rossella, are incredibly helpful (thanks again for everything you two)! Definitely recommend this place to all looking for a place in Florence!
Walking distance from train and to major attractions. Comfortable. Staff assisted where they could. Street noise was minimal with widows closed. Wifi in room after I adjusted the antenea for the modum located in the breakfast area. The room was, however, rather small and I would not have given it the rating that appears on Booked.net. Breakfast is cereal, yogurt, coffee, juice and sweet cakes. I would rate this a 7.
No elevator. It was 26 steps to our room and another 26 steps to the breakfast area. The breakfast area is a table against a wall with 4 chairs in the middle and 2 on the end. The rrom is small and only one mirror, that being above the sink in the bathroom. Lighting is dim and nearly impossible to read at night. TV is all italian.
We could see the Duomo from our large top floor window! High ceiling, in a neighborhood in the city center. Easy to walk everywhere once we found the location.
The breakfast offered was poor. Not much of a selection - no fresh fruit and very cramped location where they had the breakfast.
It was our second time at Pucci. The stuff is very friendly, even if reception is not open 24 hours they manage to make your stay comfortable. Location is perfect, 2 min walk to Duomo, but the rooms are very silent!!! We Recommend this b&b to all young couples.
Only negative comment is due to lack of an elevator. This is an older, well renovated building so this is not unusual. There is no one available to help with luggage, though, so this can pose a problem for some travellers.
B&b was very nice and a great location, right in the heart of Florence. We had a room right on the road which was noisy at times, but only really on the weekend which is when the Italians come out to party on the streets because it would seem the cafe and bars are too small to fit them all inside, ha-ha. Our room was a good size for Europe, certainly suitable to swing a cat in. The only issue we had was that as is typical in Europe is that while the weather fluctuates, seasonally you are either given ac usage or a water heater and not both. Breakfast was strictly continental and sweet, which kills me like it would any man who likes meat, as you can’t walk Florence on one tub of yoghurt and a piece of cake. Venting aside for all of Europe’s crap continental breakfast ideology we really enjoyed our stay, also helping that Florence is nice place. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable and that really made a huge difference and the biggest reason we would recommend anyone to stay here. We were given directions to the best Italian restaurant we had eaten in all of Italy, good price and good portions which the Italians aren’t know for unless you go to your own Nanna’s house for a true Italian feast. Good location, good staff, good price, book your stay.
The staff was beyond friendly. The location is excellent. The room was of a good size and very clean. The facilities are very clean.
There are three levels where the bedrooms are and the breakfast lounge is at the second floor; however, there is no elevator. This is very inconvenient when you arrive with your 4 pieces of luggage. There is nobody to help with this, you have to drag the luggage up and down the concrete steps. But the place and specially the staff are lovely!
Location, location and location. Rooms are in a fair condition but not luxurious. Breakfast is very simple and the opening hours (8:30 to 10AM) quite short. Basically wifi does not work. A bit overpriced for the service rendered but the location is tremendous
A bit old (smelly entrance) for the price asked. No facility.
